Won vs FM but no Elo

@StrikeMateX said ^

Hard work? Hardly.

Unless you lost against them 47 times and the time you actually beat them results in 0 Elo.

You absolutely deserve to get points for beating them.

"Unless you lost against them 47 times and the time you actually beat them results in 0 Elo."

You lost against them 45, not 47, times.

45? 47? There's barely a difference

@IamNOTamod

Why did you downvote their comment?

Whether it's 45 or 47 doesn't change the fact that they deserve the points, and that it is hard work to play 45 games.

The problem is that they treat rating as a currency (like something they "deserve"). Rating is an indicator; there is no use getting worked up about it.

And yes, I know that the number of games they played is not the point...but there's obviously a difference between 45 and 47.

Yeah but they do 'deserve' the rating. They stood to gain points from beating them.

You're argument that it is an indicator is correct, but it is annoying not to get the points you deserve.

Especially when you're the only one it seemed to happen to.

Cos everyone else gets their points.

If you beat someone and don't get points then it is heartbreaking.

Even if it will stabilize over time, it still isn't fair to not get your points for beating someone.

I never said it wasn't unfair. I simply suggested the OP should stay calm.

You'll never know until you walk in their shoes.
