What is life without dreams, one of my bigger dreams is seeing a poor small nation winning the biggest price. Haiti, Curacao or Cape Verde would be my dreamed world champion. I always root for the underdog at any sport but this year I really hope that we will see small countries beating big countries, I cant wait to celebrate that...

Haïti can make it to round of 32. Brazil is pretty weak and the question of seeing Brazil finishing 3rd isn't unrealistic. Would be hard for Curacao, though. Ivory Coast, Germany and Ecuador are at a equal level, and I have no idea about the way Curacao will play against these 3 big football nations. Cape Verde will be a surprise. It's already been a long time since they have a strong team and several of their players played or play for European club. G. Tavares is a one to watch. Uruguay is weaker, they don't have anymore Suarez or Cavani, Muslera is old, Araujo wasn't at his best this season and almost didn't play. Saudi Arabia have some very interesting players like Saud Abdulhamid.
The favorite are Spain, France, Portugal, Argentina. Outsiders Marocco, Senegal, Japan.

Same happened to GT in IPL 2026. The team were at second-last in the beginning and became runners-up. CSK could have won tho TΔT

Do not forget the germans, Gary Lineker tought me that at the end the germans win... On a more serious note, Norway, Holland and Turkey are outsiders too, Turkey has some real potential if they play as a team semi's would not surprise me, it is a pity that Belgium never really forfilled their potential but they had some great players and goalkeeper... I am really hoping Marocco does well, it is about time that an other continent grabs the cup. Let us hope politics will not ruin the games. It could be a great WC

Norway is strong on the paper, but against big teams, it's still undetermined and I don't have much informations about how they play outside of Europe. Netherlands have a very old team with players at the end of a generations. Depay, Weghorst, Ake, Flekken are all over 30. Turkey have the exemple of 2002, Kokcu and Yildiz are still very dangerous but I need to see a bit more of their collective. They notably lost 6-1 against Spain and won difficultly against Georgia.
Japan have a disciplined collective, they're not the team that will score 5 goals in a match, but one is sufficient to win for them. They have many players from Eredivisie, the Dutch championship, Ueda was monstrous with Feyenoord. Belgium have some chance, they remind me a bit 2018's France squad

I’m going with USA they are hosting 78 of the 104 games. They are the home team (mostly).

They don't deserve any sympathy (the nation, not necessarily the players)
Argentina is not a favorite in my book. Messi is not motivated anymore to have his career perfected.
Ivory Coast, Germany and Ecuador are at a equal level
hmm ... the other two are no cakewalks for sure, but I think it's very likely that Germany prevails over them. I'm sure Germany is not like 2018 and 2022 anymore.

Genuine question. Do you hate the government or the people?

Most of the players are old and there is a gap between the experimented players (Neuer, Sané, Kimmich) and the younger (Brown, Pavlovic, Karl). Not sure they're going to make it like in 2014, given the lack of young leader and of a defined playing style now.
Ivory Coast is full of players that are experimented to the French championship (Fofana, Guessand, Pépé) and even the talented Diallo that is from ManUnited.
