Long story short
I suck in chess.com for some reason. I have better ratings on other systems. You can see them in my lichess id. My chess.com rating really demotivates me. I know you may say rating is just a number. But bro, I don't think it is a sufficient answer in my case. Chess.com rating has demotivated me like since I got it. (Its now around 650)
Should i close my chess.com for good?
If I were you I would switch between chess.com and Lichess every few months or so also if you really want to gain rating you should probably work on openings and some tactical ideas.

In fact, it should be fun for you to play at this rating level. Because you are much stronger.
But i suck (there)

Bro, Chess.com is trash. I mean, paying a subscription to solve puzzles and access game analysis when you can get both for free on Lichess? And millions of people fell for it! Plus, they’re well known for shaming Russian players. We’re chess players — we don’t care about politics, but Chess.com’s owners are clearly left-wing liberals

If you close your chess.com account, the games and ratings will remain there to be seen, there will just appear a cross mark (the user has closed their own account) next to your user name.

All I know is that when one clicks ruby slippers together, it is to Lichess that one comes nowadays, not Kansas.
Lichess seems even more wholesome and wonderful than Kansas.
And Lichess has even more horseys!

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this, but there is a known ratings gap between Chessdotcom and Lichess of about 150-200 points (on average):
so someone whos 1200 on Chessdotcom can be expected to be around 1400 on Lichess.
it does not mean either site is better bcuz at higher levels the ratings and player strengths get evened out!

A chess rating is like currency for different countries. The numbers might not match, but your buying power remains the same.
