There are similar theories of humor, where a good joke is the 'subversion of expectations'. In terms of chunking and predictive processing creativity might be a new and unique way to chunk information, in a way that once it has been seen it can't be unseen, but the person would be 'conscious' of having lived most their life having not seen what now is obvious.
Regarding beauty in terms of chunking and predictive processing, beauty is a meta-pattern that unifies different ideas that appear unrelated, but once the underlying pattern is revealed, cannon be unseen.
But on the flipside, a famous warning about beauty from a story from the Talmud:
The daughter of the Caesar once exclaimed to Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chananya, "Such a beautiful Torah in such an ugly vessel?! How is it that one as ugly as you contains such wondrous and fine wisdom?"
Rabbi Yehoshua responded, "Learn from your father's household. In what do they store wine?"
"In earthenware vessels," she said.
"The whole world uses earthenware vessels! And you – the Royal family – also use earthenware vessels!? You should store it in vessels of silver and gold."
She left and had the wine placed in barrels of silver and gold. As a result, it turned sour.
When she came to tell him what had happened, Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chananya responded, "And the Torah is just the same. It is best preserved in me because I am ugly."
"But there are handsome men who are learned!" Caesar's daughter protested.
"If they were ugly," Rabbi Yehoshua replied, "they would be even more learned."
Also a warning of beauty Book of Ben Sira - 'What makes a beautiful woman? She has been the cause of many men's destruction'
That warning from the Book of Ben Sira might be more applicable to chess, as a beautiful combination is beautiful because it has lead to many player's destruction, similar to how a beautiful woman has destroyed many men.
