it gets me to the start page.
no "secret code" to be seen anywhere,
except a bandworm within the url.

You need install 1 "2FA maneger"
And read with maneger
why so complicated,
what can that app do more than get me the qr-text?
( which latter is a link that gets me to lichess 'home' instead of anything "authenticated" )---
also, there's simpler security options ( captcha?, ask questions?, two passwords?, ... )
and there's no top secret private or real life info in team members,
and as a team leader I'm not having any such info (email, real name, donation data, or anything), ... im just only the team creator and leader with nothing there that needs security measures with extra app + qr-code on each single login, after all
