I understand that Señor K's name is pronounced 'kee-kay' but I do wish he used one of the alternative spellings - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kike_(given_name) - as it is extremely jarring to see, due to the other - and in English - sadly far more common usage of that word as a horrible racist slur.

I understand that it is his name. Your friend is clearly a great chess educator and I (eventually) otherwise very much enjoyed your post, for which, thank you.

Had your post been in Spanish, there would of course be absolutely no problem. In Spanish, it would be immediately understood that this was a name and nothing else.

Since the post was in English, though, it took me quite a while to understand what was going on. I am a person who has had that particular slur used against me - in hatred - by racists. My reaction was immediate, and deeply unpleasant memories were evoked. I was very glad, on more careful reading, to realise that these four letters, in your post, were simply a name and not the slur, and also that it was pronounced differently. My Spanish is sadly only beginner-level, so it took a while to realise this very important point.

I wonder if your friend has considered using an alternative spelling like 'Kiké' or 'Quique' in cases when his name is used in English-language texts (and only then), in order to avoid this issue.

This article dosent work for me, I tryed going 1300. Made different acounts, got banned multiple times and the MAX I got was 1218!

Im in shock, how well most pepole play chess these days.
