Firouzja beats Magnus & 2 Masterpieces in Armageddon. Norway Chess R1 Analysis
The Norway chess came this year with a super-strong line up headed by the goat Magnus Carlsen, 3 top 10s as Keymer Firouzja & Wesley So, the world champion Gukesh and the other indian young start Praggnanandhaa. We have the womens section too with all the players over 2500. I going to analyze the best games each day here and in youtube so lets see what happen in Norway this year.Beating the Goat with an ankle broke.
When i saw the position in the chair that Firouzja had due to his injury i thought that Carlsen is going to beat him cause for me is very difficult to get full concentracion in a bad posture but Firouzja had the day and outplayed Magnus in the classical game.
22 moves Masterpiece
After a very hard draw in the classical with 144 moves and hundreds of blunders in a queens endgame Gukesh saved the half point and the went to the armageddon and to conpensate the lenght of the other game the rapid one was only 22 moves.
Second time's the charm!
In the classical game Pragg had a move to take a great advantaje with g4! but missed that.
In the armageddon he repeated the opening but this time he went for the white king instead of play in the center.
Womens Section Highlights
Zhu Jiner had no problems to draw in both classical and armageddon games vs Muzychuk to earn 1.5 points to start the tournament.
Deshmukh won win black in the armageddon too but she had more troubles in the classical game being pawn down but in the complications with less than one minute in the clock she managed to hold.
So i analyzed the one decided classical game of the round.

Was a great round to start the tournament, with this time control of 10 seonds of increment and the armageddon in case of draw we have good play at the start f the day and emotion at the end so im sure that the event still being amazing, specially cause Magnus after a loss puts on his God Mode.
Follow me here and in Youtube to see how continues the tournament, bye bye.
