such a shame that he retired, a true loss for the atomic community I hope that he can at least salvage his reputation by proving he didn't cheat but he doesn't seem interested in doing so, oh well farewell to an atomic great.

Don't want to write too much. No conclusions or judgements from me, just a few words I'd like to say.

I dare doubt the uncaring attitude of Markus'. Feels like the cheating allegations did hurt him. But his word hasn't lost its meaning, at least not with me.
To my knowledge there are but a few who are deriding his supposed downfall; yet... As a friend of mine says 'Don't visit the Internet if you are afraid of trolls and idiots'.
More importantly -
From my first days on Lichess Markus has been someone to look up to, not only Atomic-wise but otherwise, too, - despite our level difference, he was never arrogant or disrespectful, but answered questions and shared his best and worst games for my modest blog (adding THE most detailed commentary both times).
Well, Noz, I hope to see you again, but for now - farewell, wherever you may fare!
P.S. And here's something I shall never forget. Hope to beat you with white one day! ^^

Don't believe NoZ cheated at all. No need for him to cheat, he has nothing to prove. But I am glad that he got his title and hope he rests well in his retirement. It will certainly be sad not to see him around, he will especially be missed on the leaderboard.
A true pity that his account was banned, truly a loss for the atomic community...

It's very funny to me that a lot of comments in here and the previous blog forum are feeling bad for noz, suggesting he is a victim and it's unfair.
Jsf has represented two games, but really I think you could put every noz's game and they will be suspicious, how he beat me with a4 Ra3 and d6, then he did d6 against howlin too. And not just awc matches, he plays bunch of garbage and then start to play perfectly in the endgame. I believe everyone has at least once ever suspected noz and faced his "dark magic" because what he does is simply not what a human is capable of. Also he had some alts that were somehow 2000 rated if I remember correctly, which is really suspicious too, because even if you play drunk, really bad openings you still shouldn't fall to that low. Then he had magically good scores last time in other variants like RK, horde, anti, also scored 3-3 against GM gsvc in very chess alike variant koth.
His desire to avoid appealing and leaving discord servers looks more like he knows what's gonna happen in appeal anyway, as he "joked" somewhere: "I appeal, lichess: no, and nothing changes". To me, everything is pretty clear, he understands what he has done and maybe should be grateful that he's banned only now.
So generally I believe his ban is absolutely correct, he didn't play fairly in some or most of his games, he is probably still a very stronk player without assistance in atomik, but are his results in AWC and HMVC legit? Let alone awc, in hmvc he managed to scam a game in ZH against VariantsOnly, it was also the last game and must-win for noz, what a coincidence. Scored 1.5-4.5 and 2-4 against CyberShredder and me in RK, although I have to admit Cyber and me played pretty badly and noz isn't that weak, but then 3-3 koth vs gsvc still exists

so here he gives a knight for completely no reason and goes on to do a "dark magic", like he does in every atomik game: play trash opening, do troll moves and then start to play perfectly before the dry endgame comes. Maybe you would say he wanted to avoid queen trade, but wait, he chose 2.Nf3 3.d3 line himself, he must knew it trades the queens after dxe4. Outside of hmvc he had good results for a newbie in horde against
@bijiy, when their gap was like 600 rating.
All this looks to me like noz is addicted to using external assistance and he shouldn't be 2025 atomik world champ, you can stop calling him like that. I can't prove he really played unfairly in awc games, I haven't looked at them, but the probability is so high that howlin really should reconsider his decisions.
Anyway, you guys really shouldn't talk as noz never cheated, everything is very clear

A word I would like to add is that even Wolfram is not on Noz’s side in this case. Do with this information as you will.

Its always a sad thing when a talented player is preventing from plying their trade. I don't know anything much about NeverOFzero or even atomic chess, but I will say that there are always variant specialists out there, and that its quite tricky for a chess site to be completely sure about banning players that they suspect coulf be cheating. But I fully understand NeverOFzero when he says that its a waste of time to appeal.
Just some notes on myself:
-
I've been an administrator on a global chess platform previously (when engines were less strong but still strong enough to beat humans) and have seen both sides of the coin.
-
Many years ago on the Internet Chess Club I defeated members of the Chinese Olympiad Chess Team in a certain opening variation (normal chess). A Serbian Grandmaster who was sitting next to me watching the games, was in disbelief as I am not a titled player, but just understood this variation very well.
-
I've also been banned on lichess. My first account was deemed to have been cheating in a chess variant. I made a new account and continued to beat 2400+s in that variant. Perhaps the new account was not flagged because i was not playing on the "TV" against established superstars, but whats the point of appealing when they have made their decision? I avoid variants on this account, to avoid suspicion, its simply not worth it.

@CoachRonald
Your strange message reads to me something like this:
"Here on Lichess, I'm not allowed to show my enormous potential; I can't make two strong moves in a row without immediately being suspected of cheating."
It must be awful for you to constantly have to play chess in such a limited way on this platform.

Nothing of the sort. It is emphasising that sometunes chess sites will get it wrong, and some reasons are listed in my post.

Noz was an example of perseverance; personally, he was the one who inspired me to play Atomic better every day. I still remember asking him for opening recommendations before playing the AWC, and in less than three hours he kindly replied with lines, also acting as a guide in my team management.
