Nice blog post! When I started playing atomic chess over 4 years ago, I was a 900-rated player at the start! Only after some playing and some reading, I was able to get above 1500.

Thanks! I started out only 2 months ago, and I'm really glad I did. Initially I was just messing around, languishing at 1100, but after actually understanding the dos and don'ts of atomic by exploring some studies, I got to where I am today. I wonder if my post could be extended to other variants, and if so, which ones?
