@CaseyReese

Is this text from My System 1929 by Aron Nimzowitsch?

You say at the start: "Old-School Instruction by Aron Nimzowitsch"

At then at the end: "-- Aron Nimzowitsch, 1929"

Still great instruction after almost 100 years.

Yes, it's from Philip Hereford's 1929 translation, but I've removed some of Nimzowitsch's digressions, redundancies, and analogies.

Btw some of the links to the study chapters don't display correctly, I'm not sure if the issue is only with me, or is it because of how many chessboards there are.

Also this example is straight up wrong:

exd5 is the correct move to release pressure from the f3 pawn, but Re8+ is not the correct idea. Just Bf4 and White is clean knight up (1.Bf4 runs into some combination of dxe4, which has to be recaptured with the rook, Bxf4, Nxf3 and Rxb2).

It's not just you. I see it too. But the links still work, you just have to paste them in another browser window.

I noticed that not all of Nimzo's examples show correct play, or are even good examples of what he's talking about. It's one of the faults of My System that people complain about. Still, I think it's a good chess book, and it's in the public domain, so I'm transcribing parts of it.
