"wins with black"
- Black is the new white.
White must prepare broader, so black can prepare deeper.

Hello! Nice post, however... shouldn't it be 14 games played hence scores are x/14? Maybe I am missing something...

So, to win the Candidates:
Phase 1: Come out of the gates strong, deploying your best prep to get on a nice plus after 4-5 rounds, giving you the cushion to carry out phase 2
Phase 2: Solid and stable through the middle, to set up the conditions for phase 3
Phase 3: Seal the deal by capitalizing on overpress mistakes by opponents under do-or-die pressure to win all their Whites at the tail end of the tournament

It's eight players, double round robin. So 14 games. It might be nice to show "number of games" instead of "relative number of games." Or you could do both. The graphics are really great, and informative.
