Is a 2200 e4 player better than a 2200 d4 player?
What about 1800 level?

The point of rating is that players of similar rating should score about the same statistically.
More interesting to ask, if a player is 2200 and plays 1 d4/e4, are they better than a 2200 who plays 1 g4/h4?
The second player has the same rating despite playing disreputable openings, so they're probably better!
They both are the same, one is good at one thing which someone isnt and the same to the other
e4 better. or d4. c4 is explosive, f4 stand for failure

Sure, never argued against that.
But who is better?
Who has more skill?
And who got carried by easy openings?

You would have to define "better" first.

Why don‘t you just answer the question with what you believe it to mean.
It‘s vague on purpose :)
