Good Job @KrishnaSenthil20
You shouldn't have let him take you king pond.
@RitwinSathish What do you suggest he does to prevent the king pond from being taken?
First of all, well done. I still remember when I beat an FM on here for the first time.
The strategy behind 20.Rf6? is flawed. The rook doesn't belong in front of the pawn; it is rather passive there. If you attack it from behind, any time the rook or pawn moves it is gone.
Thus, 20.Rf8+! was the best move, and perhaps 21.Rh8. This also allows you to play Ra8, Rb8 or Rc8 at some point attacking the different pawns. This is known as Tarrasch's rule.
@RitwinSathish , I saw that too. I should have moved my f7 pawn to f6 instead of my d pawn. I didn't know why i forgot to move it but i didn't.
@QueenMyPawn, my idea was to double my rooks and start putting my rook on the 2nd rank. I understand that it's flawed though. What move do you suggest?
@KrishnaSenthil20 What do you mean double rooks? There's only one rook left on the board.
@QueenMyPawn Apparently, the computer likes 20. Rf6 more than 20. Rf8+
@QueenMyPawn, there's two rooks on the board. I'm black in this position.
@KrishnaSenthil20 Oops! Well, your technique is exceptional for your rating and you should reach 1900 in no time. After all, in simple positions, it is hard to drop pieces...
Good job!
