With uBlockOrigin you can use the element picker to hide the button permanently. So don't bother, Anarchy in the U.K.!

Snarky or not, the report is correct: the DONATE text's baseline is a pixel below the rest on Chrome (not Firefox) on my PC.

This isn't necessarily something Lichess would want to fix. Some testing could show that people are more likely to donate or donate more with a slightly offset center donate button / link, even if (or especially if) they are not aware it is offset. I wouldn't necessarily bet on this but can think of multiple possible reasons it could work. And plenty of far odder surprises have been discovered in the history of testing seemingly insignificant design differences for online services.
