Wierd time formats.

There are default settings of 3 mins and 5 mins available. Why do people still insist on playing the in between 4 min games so much?

@Reon_me it's absolutely their choice and even some tournament have different time control that default.
Also it is not wierd time control

I know. Everyone is allowed to played whatever they wanted. The question is what makes uncommon time formats worth it. As the waiting time is certainly much more than the default ones. There has to be done positives.

everybody has their own time controls where they are comfortable at.. some time controls are harder to find games in such as 7 min takes me ages so i just play 5 min instead.. but i feel 7 min blitz game would be my "perfect" blitz time control as i always feel rushed in some games

Why don't you play 10+0 games then?

I don't know. Maybe more people prefer quick games over slow games.

Some people feel like 5+0 is too fast, or too slow, or they don’t have enough time. It just depends on what you feel like playing.

I think 5+0 is too slow or too fast, I also think that 3/4+0 is too fast or too slow. they both seem like weird time controls to me
