Hedgehog via the QID

So I've been learning the Hedgehog and am trying to figure out how to play it against 1. d4. It's vaguely implied in my book that you can reach the hedgehog from the QID, but I cannot find any way for Black to do consistently. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

I've been playing both sides of the hedgehog for years, and the QID also figures quite prominently in my repertoire. What can I say? on both sides o the the marsh, I always get stuck in the mud. Stuck? No, mired. Have any ideas, whether variation speciic, or general, let me know . please!

There are variations in the QID that lead to the hedgehog but you cannot force them as black. For example
1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 e6 3 Nf3 b6 4 g3 Bb7 5 Bg2 Be7 6 0-0 0-0 7 Nc3 Ne4 8 Qc2 Nxc3 9 Qxc3 c5 10 Rd1 cxd4
1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 e6 3 Nf3 b6 4 g3 Ba6 5 Qa4 Bb7 6 Bg2 c5 7 dxc5 Bxc5
The same for the Nimzoindian
1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 e6 3 Nc3 Bb4 4 e3 b6 5 Nf3 Bb7 6 Bd3 0-0 7 0-0 c5 8 Na4 Re8
1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 e6 3 Nc3 Bb4 4 Qc2 c5 5 dxc5 0-0 6 Nf3 Nc6 7 Bg5 Bxc5 8 e3 b6
The hedgehog was most popular in the 1970s and arose from various move orders in the English eg 1 c4 Nf6 2 Nf3 e6 3 g3 b6 4 Bg2 Bb7 5 Nc3 c5
