Announcement regarding the wildcard spots:
Initially, these spots were reserved for certain special players, who may also be a past WC etc. However, all players on our list have now confirmed that they decline the offer, and their decision is final.
As a result, the organizers have decided to proceed with what was our original Plan B — and what we believe to be the fairest option currently — by awarding the two wildcard spots to the 7th and 8th place finishers of the Double Knockout Stage.
This change makes Round 5 of the Losers Bracket unnecessary, as the four players who would have reached it will already be determined, sharing 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place.
Put simply:
Whoever reaches Round 5 of the Losers Bracket (by winning their match in Round 4 of the Losers Bracket) will qualify for the Candidates Stage, along with the four players from the Winners Bracket who win their Round 3 matches.
TL;DR:
The two wildcard spots will go to the 7th and 8th place finishers of the Double Knockout Stage. This means:
Win in Round 4 in the Losers Bracket you qualify for Candidates.
Win in Round 3 in the Winners Bracket you qualify for Candidates.
Round 5 of the Losers Bracket will not be played.
