Hi everyone, my dad is getting 3 day blocks all the time but we can't figure out why. Once the block is finished, he starts playing normally again, but is promptly re-blocked for 3 days. Can anyone help me to understand for sure what to do in order not to be blocked anymore? who should I contact?

your dad constantly has games like this one:
https://lichess.org/pF59p33p/black#63
where he just leaves the game without resigning.

Either take the checkmate or resign the game. Rage quitting or just leaving games will always end in tears with a ban of sorts

These 3-day bans are all automated playbans. As mentioned by the others, always try to finish games which you start.
From the Terms of Service, the following should be avoided:
Ragesitting, Ragequitting, and Aborting - This is when a player chooses to keep the clock running or leave the game, forcing their opponent to wait for them, rather than playing on or resigning. These are all considered bad sportsmanship, along with aborting too many games too frequently.
Clarification: By avoided, I am NOT referring to it as an(y) exception of the Terms (There are no exemptions). I mean to say don't do any of those.
