Dear Lichess admins,
I would like to start by congratulating you on your amazing website, and responsive team. Always a pleasure to use lichess.org.
My feature request comes from a slight inconvenience when I'm passing over pgn's from chessbase to lichess: can we get the ability to write text comments before the moves? Currently, we can only write them after the move, but writing some comments before is really handy in the pgn text readability.
Thank you for your time and for your services! :)

Chessable also supports a "before move text" kind of field but I suspect there's nothing in the PGN format to support this. You'll probably have to move that text to the end of the previous move so that it reads better.
I just tried an experiment in chessable of exporting a variation with some before text, and that's what I see happening there. They just move the text. I'm curious how chessbase is representing things in exports from there.

A "text before the move" is a comment on the previous move. You can start a PGN with a comment, in case you're wondering what to do on the first move. That's what happens if you comment the starting position.
