How can chess be grown like cricket and football??

They have fast moving balls for the eye to follow. Maybe throw every captured piece in the air? And if it knocks out a piece on the board you're allowed to remove that as well.

Well it's popular in British commonwealth countries (i.e. countries that were once colonized by Britain), and India has 1.3 billion people, most of whom are cricket fans, so that's already quite a large following even ignoring the other countries that play and watch it (England, Australia, South Africa, etc.)
