New variant chess: Cutie horses race

Chess variant
As you know, lichess has many variant chess, for example, Chess960, King of the Hill, Atomic chess and so on. One day I invented the new variant chess: Cutie horses race. This game will surely entertain you. Let's check out the rules!

1. Beginning Position

You and your opponent have one King, one Queen, six Nights and eight Pawns respectively. But for some reason, there is no Bishop, no Rook. By the way, this formation is inspired by horse racing. image

2. Basic Rules

When you move your Night to squares on the opponent's back rank, you win.
However, if your opponent takes immediately that Night with his Night (not King or Queen), then your win is cancelled. In other words, you cannot win just by moving your Night to the back rank squares that an opponent's Night controls.

White: I win!
White: I win!

Black: no, it's not win!
Black: No, it's not win!

3. More detailed rules

  • Suppose that your Pawn promotes to Night, which means your win. But even in this case, the same restriction is imposed. If that Night is captured by an opponent's Night in the next move, your win is cancelled.
  • Checkmate means draw.
  • You can resign or offer draw.
  • About other than above, the same rules to standard chess are applied.

4. Example game

Here is an example game. White edged out.

Cutie horses race is really fair at the beginning. At least, more even than Atomic chess. Please enjoy this variant chess! However, it is still in the testing phase. So, of course your advice is welcome. I will revise details along with it as long as possible.
Thank you for reading my blog.
See you next time^^
