Lichess world cups

All of us have heard about world cups, football, cricket, chess and many more. But why not organise lichess world cups!
We can organize world cups, and here is just a small idea about how it will be organised.
Rapid World Cup will be organised every 4 years.
Blitz world cup will be organised every 2 years.
Bullet World cup will be organised every year.
(Only these 3 time controls will be used.)

The World cup will last for approximately 2 months. For the first month, Lichess will organize 30 marathons, one marathon each day. Each player can play ONLY 1 marathon. The top 3 of each marathon will qualify, giving us 90 players. Then, the players will be divided into 10 pools, 9 players in each Pool. A round robin tournament will take place in each pool, 1 round per day, and the top 2 proceed in the next round, giving us 20 players.These players will be further divided into 4 Pools, 5 in each pool.Once again a round robin tournament will take place in each pool, 1 round per day. Top 2 of each pool qualify will, giving us only 8 players. Then there will be 4 quarter finals, where only 4 players will proceed.Then 6 semifinals, and we will get our finalists.10 games will be played in the rapid final, 20 in the blitz final and 30 in the bullet final

Lets take the example of the rapid world cup, assuming it will start from 1st October.
Lichess will organise a 12 hour rapid marathon every day, from 1st to 30th October.
However, each player can play ONLY ONE of these marathons. The top 3 of each marathon will qualify, giving us 90 players.
After that, the players will be divided into 10 pools, 9 players in each Pool. A round robin tournament will take place in each pool, 1 round per day, and the top 2 proceed in the next round, giving us 20 players.
Then, these players will be further divided into 4 Pools, 5 in each pool. Once again a round robin tournament will be held in each pool, 1 round per day. Top 2 from each pool will qualify, giving us only the top 8 players.
This will be followed by the Quarter finals.

Each quarter final will consist of four rapid games, and a tie break, if needed. This will leave us with only four players. Next come the Semi finals
Each semi final will consist of 6 games, and of course, a tie break, if needed. This will leave us with our two finalists.

The Final will consist of 10 games, and if needed a tie break. After this, we will have a rapid lichess world champion!.
