The Fights Starts In Romania!!!! GCT R1 Analysis
The first classical event of the 2026 Grand Chess Tour have being place in Romania with 10 elite players facing each other in a round robin format. The line up is formed by: Candidates winner Javokhir Sindarov, US Champ Ffabiano Caruana, Candidates runner-up Anish Giri, The top 7, 8 and 9 of the world Vincent Keymer, Alireza Firouzja & Wesley So, 2 european top guys as MVL & Van Foreest, Olimpiad winner Praggnanandhaa and the local hero and Rumania nº1 Bodgan-Daniel Deac. Each day i going to analyze the best games of the round.
My idea with this tournament is analyze each day the best game of the round but yesterday we have 5 draws so i going to share with you all the games but without huge & deep analysis

After creat a winning attack Firouzja missunderstood the position with 35...Rbd8 losing all the advantaje.
Black Dominates This Round

In the first round we watched black having the advantaje in 4 of the 5 games and in the other one equalazing without problems
